Liebster Award

Hey guys! So I was contacted by the lovely Elizabeth from Elizabeth: beauty and beyond (http://elizabethvasquezreveals.blogspot.co.uk) And she nominated me for the Liebster award! The award is a way to let bloggers get to know each other and then discover new blogs as the award progresses. I can't wait to see some peoples answers!

So here is how it works... Elizabeth picked 11 blogs with under 200 followers to be nominated for the Liebster award and I am proudly one of those 11! These 11 blogs need to answer 11 questions that have been picked by the person who nominated you. Here are my answers-

1. What is your favorite makeup product?
At the moment. Max factor CC cream. But knowing my skin type that will change pretty soon!

2. If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go?
Probably California. I just really want to go out to America!

3. What is something you couldn't live without?
Apart from family. Probably my internet. My Blog and my YouTube are what my life revolves around at the moment! Haha!

4. What is something people may not know about you?
This is a hard one. I'm kind of an open book... I have a lot of self doubt. I really rely on my friends to push me forward to do the things that I love!

5. If you could not use one makeup product for the rest of your, what would it be?
Probably foundation... The one way to stop breakouts is to just not wear any foundation at all!

6. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand ?
Overall, Rimmel London. I love there stuff!

7. What is your favorite part about blogging?
To me. Blogging is a way of expressing myself. Using words to inspire other people. I'm a huge people pleaser. Which, trust me, never always ends in my favor... But I just loving being able to connect with others!

8. Describe your style.
Simple but funky. I like to try anything and everything. If it works then great! If not I'll just try again!

9. Who is someone you look up to?
I don't have just one person that I look up to. In my eyes you shouldn't be limited to one personality. Having one idol limits creativity and creativity is key to being yourself.

10. What inspired you to begin blogging?
My dream in life is to have my name out in the world. I don't aim to be famous or making money off it. (Although that would be a bonus) I just want to be known! When I realized I could do that through my love of words and need to inspire I jumped right at the chance to create this blog!

11. What is your favorite song at the moment?
Really Don't Care by Demi Lovato. My message to the haters to;)

Max factor and Rimmel London Haul!

Hey there! When it comes to make-up it's very hard for me. My skin is far to sensitive and it's difficult to find brands that don't make me break out! Obviously, everyone has a different face type and if you keep trying you will eventually come across a brand that is good for you!

In my case Max factor and Rimmel are my saviors! So I thought I would take you through the best products from Max factor and Rimmel that I have and what I think about them. (Sorry about the quality of some photos... I smashed my camera)

My first product is powder. I have two types (Both from Rimmel). The one on the left is the Stay Matte pressed powder with natural shine control in shade 002 Pink blossom, £3.99 from boots. I do like this powder however I find it is far to pink for my skin color so I don't use it that often.

The powder on the right is the Clear Complexion clarifying powder with natural minerals in shade 021 Transparent, £3.99 from boots. After getting the first powder I thought a transparent powder would be better for my skin type and now I swear by it! I don't find it heavy like other powders.

My second product is once again Rimmel. This mascara is the Glam eyes Lash Flirt volume and lift mascara in 001 Kohl black. It can be found in boots for £7.19. I find this mascara amazing! It doesn't clump at all and it separates my lashes nicely. The only downside to this product would be how flexible the brush is. I keep bending it every time I put it away.

My final Rimmel product is the Exaggerate eye liner in 001 100% black which can be found for £5.29 in Boots. I love this product because I have really got on with it. I never used to wear liquid eyeliner because I found the brush to be to bulky and bendy so I could never get a straight line. When I was suggested to get this I was hesitant. If you are a first time liquid eyeliner person I suggest this.

So, moving on to Max factor. This is the Max factor Flipstick colour effect in shade 15 Boreal mauve. £6.49 at Boots. I really this flipstick. Unlike most lipsticks I have tried this one stays on for at least half a day and doesn't even fade. It has a metallic tone to it that look great when the lighter shade is worn. I don't really have bad points to it. It is an all round great product!

My final product from Max factor is the amazing CC Colour correcting cream. This one is in shade 50 Natural. This crazy perfect foundation is my must have product! It's perfect to wear over the summer since it is so light and contains an SPF 10. Most foundations I use either irritate my sensitive skin or clog my pours. But since I discovered this I cant fault it! I would highly recommend to anyone!

Well thank you all for reading and Keep an eye out on my YouTube channel because my next video will be released soon!
See you next time!

On the cheap. Photoshoot

Hey there! I love doing thinks on the cheap. Going out into sales and finding great deals is really fun to me! So recently I was invited to model for my friend to start collecting photos for her college portfolio. So since I really enjoy doing things like that I automatically agreed to the offer and headed over to her house.

We spent the day sorting out outfits and makeup and getting me ready. Eventually, after several photos we were done and she got busy editing them. I have been waiting a while to show you them and she just sent them over. So here we are... I'm going to show you the top two!

I love this photo! The Skirt was £19 pound from Newlook, The top was £8 from Primark and the crop top was £3 from Newlook. I wore my hair in a tight fishtail plait (Not easy with thick hair) and I wore simple winged eyeliner. The black and white effect is what I like about this photo. I like simple.

We then ventured outside into her back garden in a new outfit. This time wearing brighter colours! You can clearly see my dipdye in the curls which is great! My dress is a Primark dress and it was only £12. The belt was £4 from Newlook. I wore my hair in tight curls with a poof at the front and simple eye make-up with a bright lip.

All in all I loved the day and the Photos turned out awesome! Thank you so much Katie for taking these!

Whilst you are here I have a new video up on my Youtube! Dont forget to subscribe!

Music Monday! Kirsten Evans

Kirsten EvansI have realized that I am reviewing music a lot therefore I think it will be a good idea to start a little series about music I've been listening to, subsequently creating Music Monday!

Well, this week I have been listening to the amazingly talented Kirsten Evans. Her time in the recording studio definitely pays off! I'm addicted to her Soundcloud! She writes a lot of her own stuff including Shadows, Special One and Bird. All of which are overly addictive.

When she was recording her first song, Bird. She was given the opportunity to have a video made for her. You can see a little of the footage on her Facebook page linked below. She hopes to have the full video out soon.

She deserves all the attention she gets from her amazing talent. It's unbelievable that a girl can sing like this! I would really appreciate it if you would all check her out as this weeks Music Monday star.

You can find her-

The Academic. New release!

Okay guys so as you know I have been following the band, The Academic. I am pleased to announce that they have not one... not two... But three original songs released on their Soundcloud now. If you haven't got the link it's below:

Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/theacademictheband

The song "Glassjaw" has such an addictive bass line. It's stuck in my head! The guys have done yet another amazing job. It's literally one of the only things I play on my Soundcloud.

The second release is "What are you waiting for?" It is another great song by the guys on the addictive Soundcloud album. and it is a bit more mellow than "Glassjaw" and it's also stuck in my head. The songs are to catchy guys!

If you haven't already, in which case get out from under that rock your hiding under, go and check them out! They deserve the views they get and I'm going to follow them straight to the top!

All my luck guys! Not that you need it...

Don't forget to follow me on here for more updates on these amazing guys!
